The long-awaited Dutch regulation now has a target date. As of March 1, 2021, the Dutch regulator the Netherlands Gambling Authority (KSA) will come into being and operators will be able to apply for a license and accept the first dot NL bets in September 2021 (six months later).
Sportnco is working with one of its customers wishing to apply for a license in the Netherlands and should be approved for this new regulated market as soon as it is launched.
For information, Holland’s interactive gaming and betting sector will be taxed at 29% of gross gaming revenues and is forecast to generate €768m in annual GGR by 2025, sports betting is expected to generate €468m of that total, according to data from H2 Gambling Capital.
